HLG Associates staff worked on the procurement of both the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (together, the Games), as well as the procurement of the legacy conversion works that were used by the London Legacy Development Corporation after the Games to establish the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. In total, HLG staff led regulated procurements for over £2 billion of construction works, services, goods, concessions, and specialist items.
HLG staff were involved with the procurement of construction works (including the International Broadcast Centre, the Temporary Venues, and the London Stadium), construction services (including designers, project management partners), concession partners (including Stadium Concessionaires, Stadium Operators, and Development Partners for the East Wick and Sweetwater development), goods (including stadium roof cables and security items), and specialist actions (including devising the arrangements for the controlled disposal of the Games security assets).
HLG devised and led on numerous complex procurement actions on both high-profile, time-critical programmes. HLG delivered numerous awards, appointments and commissions, and concluded all of these actions on behalf of the client (which included the development agencies, the delivery partners, and several special-purpose entities).
