Biography

Rupert has over 30 years experience in cost engineering, estimating and surveying, and has worked on numerous medium-to-large scale construction and engineering projects in Jersey.

Rupert has overseen the delivery of numerous projects for HLG, working for clients such as Channel Islands Electricity Grid, Government of Jersey, Parish of St Martin, Parish of St Lawrence, Parish of St John, Salvation Army, the Channel Islands Co­ operative Society, Rubis and numerous private individuals and organisations.

For 15 years, Rupert was Managing Director of Mercury, which built up an annual turnover of over £5m. Successful contracts carried out for the States of Jersey during this period included the total refurbishment of Mont Nicolle School whilst and numerous contracts at the General Hospital. In the private sector, the specific developments included two housing estates and a project that included the conversion of a hotel into 65 flats, the construction of 12 new apartments and 5 bespoke houses with a total value of over
£6m.
